Parikrama - But It Rained

Thousands are reported missing each year.
This song is about the ones who are left behind.
Wrapped in a polythene tucked away safe in my mind
A little goodbye maybe or just a passing smile
The birds fly away to the southern sky searching a home
A bunch of paper flowers or a little boy left all alone
Can somebody hear me I'm screaming from so far away
Morning who will calm you now, the evening is eclipsed again
Well does life get any better
More yesterday than today
How I thought the sun would shine tomorrow
But it rained . . .
They justified the cause for which Daddy might give up his life
It's been so long, so long a time, still I miss Daddy at night
The ache is long gone but the never keeps staring along
The waters in the seas are high
and all the sand castles have drowned
Well does life get any better
More yesterday than today
How I thought the sun would shine tomorrow
But it rained ...
Rain Rain ... Go To Spain

Err ... don't take it the wrong way. I do support Spain in the current Fifa WC 2010.
This one's actually about the recent rains which hit Mumbai this week. Most of you would be aware of the flood situation in Mumbai which happened few years back. And since then each year it's the same.
This year won't be any exception I guess. My office is on the ground floor in one part of the town and my home is on the top floor in the other side of the town.
And here's where the problem starts. Everyday we have to sweep off the water which gets collected in front of our office (The drainage is already jammed). Also the parking lot gets flooded pretty soon as it is at a lower level. So I usually park it outside office in the rains. There too at times it's quite possible that it gets stuck in the flood as it happened four years back in the 2006 rains.
And my home ... Actually it's my own room where the problem lies. It was an open terrace before. But we had decided to cover it and make it a complete room. All is fine until the rainy season comes. That's when one can see the rainy water seeping through the minutest of cracks possible. Dropping on my computer and the electric switchboard! Pretty scary situation.
Don't ask me how I'm writing this post making sure that I can see what I'm writing through the droplets of water which fell on the monitor screen. Yes, I'm multi-talented. I can collect water in the mug running here and there in my room with my eyes glued to the ceiling, trying to make sure I don't miss out on one single drop from being collected in the mug plus I'm also blogging. Hell yeah!
Okay ... This game will go on. It's time for my 'paani kam cutting chai'! See you around.

I'll add some more pictures in the slideshow later. For the time being, please bear with the images uploaded
And yes, please comment on the blog, the design, the blogger. Thanks!

Introduction
Now here we go again. Another day, another blog. Everyone out there has so many blogs and not just one. So I started another one apart from Neon Candles too.
I would try (not) to add anything and everything that you (don't) like in this blog :)
Planning to keep this one a bit more active. Let's hope for the best.
Yep! ... So, see you around ;) :D
